Looking to find a new job. Any advice on where to start looking?

I've recently lost my job due to COVID-19. I've been searching endlessly for a new opportunity and have applied to many postings without hearing back. How are you guys staying motivated to keep searching?

Is anyone else having a hard time working from home? My focus is so off! Any tips for getting my work groove back?

I'm looking for work in LA, trying to move from NYC! Anyone have experience in both LA and NYC that can share their experiences? I'm sick of the roaches!!

I just got a spot bonus for my hard work at the company where I started this past February. I know they're very happy with my performance and outside work to grow the company. I'm wondering when a good time would be to ask for a raise? Our fiscal year ends September 30th. Do I even ask at all, or wait until the new fiscal year? Or wait until my 1 year anniversary? I don't want to overstep but I definitely do want more money (obviously, lol).

I've been laid off since before the New Year and am finding it hard to stay focused and motivated to find what I direction I want to go in next. I've also decided to start sharing my paintings for sale in the meantime, but am finding it hard getting exposure and recognition no matter what I try. Or if my stuff just isn't good enough or what? Any advice on what to do?
